These Shoes are Made for Walking

Exactly two weeks ago, Reid put on a pair of custom crafted orthotics. The goal of these new "shoes" is to provide additional ankle support and to help build strength in Reid's weak knees. I was hopeful that these teeny tiny orthopedic inserts would do the trick, but I wouldn't have believed the power they really held if I hadn't seen the dramatic results for myself. Within days of slipping on the orthotics Reid was taking well balanced steps. Two weeks later, Reid's preference for walking is far out weighing his need to crawl. My little man is upright. He knees are no longer calloused from months of crawling on all fours. He is walking!!
