2nd Annual Strauss Family Beach Vacation

This year, we decided to take Rhett back to Corpus Christi for a second annual beach vacation. What a difference a year makes! Rhett had so much fun running into the water, jumping waves and playing in the sand. He was even sweet enough to stack a pile of sand on my belly so his little brother could get in on the family fun. Because Rhett has been so engrossed with all things boy we also decided to add a trip to the USS Lexington to our vacation agenda. Rhett was thrilled to be be able to see and touch the airplanes and helicopters on the flight deck that normally live "up, up, up in the sky." He was a little nervous to get inside some of the flight simulators (could have been the nasty punch in the eye he gave himself while pulling back too hard on the throttle...), but he loved walking down the ship's narrow corridors, climbing stairs and turning any wheel he passed by. We had so much fun spending quality time together with Rhett and will definitely cherish this very special family vacation. After all, it is the last vacation that we will take as a family of three.
