We are proud to announce that Rhett has officially become a big boy. The proof of this recent development is the addition of his very own...big boy bed. It arrived via freight carrier yesterday and from the moment he laid eyes on it, he knew it was his. He ran through the house shouting, "Rhett's big boy bed" and made me laugh when he wouldn't allow anyone else to come near it. Despite his obvious daytime excitement, I was apprehensive over how our first night in the new bed would play out. I was fully expecting an evening wrestling match to get him to fall asleep, but occasionally miracles do happen. After completing our nightly ritual of bath time, teeth brushing, hugs and kisses, I helped Rhett climb into his big boy bed, left the room and watched on the monitor as he drifted off to sleep. We couldn't have asked for a better transition into boyhood.
