On Saturday, friends and family showed up to march with Reid's Army in the Energy for Life Walkathon in Houston.
We are truly amazed by all the support! Over 60 walkers showed up and Reid's Army raised over $8,000 for the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation. We are so grateful to all who participated and donated their time, money and services.
As parents of a special needs child, we depend on you. Sometimes it does take a village to raise a child and we are so lucky that we have an army to help with ours.
Thank you so, so much!!

A Very Angry Birthday
So this year, we left 'happy' at the door and decided to get ANGRY for the boys' birthday. The birds were flyin' and the kids were having a great time. The weather was fantastic and we couldn't get enough of outside. We had tons of friends and family out to celebrate - and after a scary few weeks there was definitely a lot of celebrating to do.
Both of the birthday boys were excited to play with their friends!
We are so thankful for our wonderful support system and can't tell you enough how much we appreciate the donations, hot meals, prayers, time and helping hands you've given. We are so lucky.

Christmas 2012
I'm late posting Christmas pictures, but better late than never. With Reid's recent seizures, we've lived the past three weeks in and out of the PICU at Dell Children's so time and resources have been limited.
Quick Christmas Recap:
Our Elf, Brigsby, came back to check on the kids thus year and was up to his old tricks. We caught him in all kinds of predicaments and doing all kinds of naughty elf things.
Rhett was offered the role of a Wise Man in the school play, but turned it down in favor of a more low key role. Once he got his second wind he did a great job as a Shepherd.
Rhett couldn't get enough of opening presents this year. I think you could have wrapped a sandwich and he would have had fun opening it up. Cora enjoyed eating gift tags and Reid liked the tissue paper.
The kids came away with all kinds of fun toys and games. Santa came again this year after sending Rhett an email letting him know for sure he was on the nice list. (Papaw wasn't so lucky.) Santa came down the chimney again, ate all the cookies and tracked snow through the house, but we let it slide since he brought a bounce house for all three to play along with a few other individual things on their list.
It was a very Merry Christmas!

Siblings
I love looking back at old pictures to remember my babies when they were still- well, babies. It also fun to see how much they have changed over time. Each have evolved into their own unique and special person with their own special traits. Some days I can say my kids are as different as night and day.
And then there are times when I smile at how similar they really are...
Rhett 4 mos.
Reid 4 mos.
Cora 4 mos.

Almost Foot in Mouth
Cora has been a thumb sucker for most of her life now. Yeah she's only five months old, but this little habit took off shortly after she entered this world. I've been letting her do it because, let's face it, there isn't much cuter. I figure I'll break her of it down the road and just wait to cross that bridge.
She loves to suck so I wasn't too surprised by what I stumbled upon this afternoon. As cute as it may be, I think someone is going to have to put their foot down.

Here, the foot is in position...
In this one she has located the big toe and is sucking away.
Busted...
Happy Halloween Earthlings!
I've been feeling like I belong in outer space lately, so this year's costumes seemed fitting. Rhett chose the space theme long ago and it was up to this crazy space cadet to figure out how to execute. Luckily, we can are a little creative and good at recycling materials.
Happy Halloween from my little alien, spaceman and twinkling star.

Cora had candy duty this year so she made a quick wardrobe change while her brothers were collecting candy.
