The General: My name is Reid Patton Strauss. They call me "The General". I'm a feisty three-year-old little boy with a rare genetic defect called X-Linked Creatine Transport Deficiency (CTD). This disorder is one of many known mitochondrial diseases that researchers are working to find a cure for. CTD involves the body's inability to metabolize creatine, resulting in severe depletion of the amino acid in the brain. This disease impacts me, but doesn't define me. I have an uphill battle, but I'm a fighter. Join me as I march on...
